Jamie is a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with a strong focus on supporting neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people navigating life challenges. He provides a welcoming and affirming space for individuals of all ages, particularly adolescents and adults, who are seeking support for issues related to mental health, identity, relationships, and personal growth. His approach is neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed, ensuring that each client feels seen, heard, and understood.
Areas of Specialisation:
- Neurodiversity-Affirming Support – Helping individuals with ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) develop strategies for emotional regulation, executive functioning, and social connection.
- LGBTQIA+ Mental Health & Identity Exploration – Providing affirming care for individuals exploring gender identity, sexual orientation, self-acceptance, and navigating relationships or social challenges.
- Anxiety, Phobias & Stress Management – Utilising Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build resilience and emotional well-being.
- Relationships & Family Dynamics – Supporting couples and families in improving communication, boundaries, and connection, with training provided by the Bouverie Centre.
- Academic & School-Related Issues – Assisting young people with school challenges, bullying, academic pressure, and transitions into further education or the workforce.
His therapeutic style is warm, non-judgmental, and client-centred. He integrates elements of mindfulness, ACT, Schema Therapy, and solution-focused techniques to help clients build self-awareness, emotional resilience, and meaningful connections.
