Our Psychologist Martine Lynch

Martine Lynch is a psychologist who has a passion for caring for children and adults.

She is a registered psychologist. She works with children (school-age 6+), and adolescents but will also offer some appointments to adults experiencing anxiety/low mood/parenting stress/life transition and work-related stress.

Martine cares for younger children (under 6yrs) if they are supported by a paediatrician and/or willing to be part of the therapeutic process.

Martine works across a range of presenting issues:
  • anxiety (separation anxiety, generalised anxiety, social anxiety and phobias)
  • depression
  • emotional/behavioural difficulties and parenting support
  • ADHD/ASD traits and support with mood
  • Child & Adolescent social/emotional difficulties
  • Life transitions (e.g. work stress, school readiness/engagement difficulties, relationship issues, grief, parental separation)
  • She provides a LGBTIQ-safe practice and has worked with older children and adolescents who are gender-questioning. I am aware there are long waitlists for gender clinics so while I believe this is a specialist area I can provide support while people are on waitlists.

The therapies she uses are evidenced-based and predominantly works from an attachment lens. Her focus is to support clients to build a healthy relationship with themselves, their world and those most important to them. She mostly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, and more recently has been exploring Internal Family Systems.
